28th to 30th March – The Peter Yeend Memorial Ride
March 28 @ 8:00 am - March 30 @ 4:30 pm

The end of March means one thing – the Peter Yeend Memorial Ride to Harrietville. Arguably the best club ride of the year, covering some of the best roads the NSW and Victorian high country has to offer. It’s a double overnighter, with both nights in Harrietville.
Leave Canberra on the Friday morning, getting to Harrietville in the afternoon. Saturday is a ‘do what you like’ day, some do the wineries, some do the Vic high country roads, some just take it easy. Sunday is the ride home, with more mountains and probably a lunch stop at Wildbrumby, time permitting.
As per usual you’ll need to book your own accomodation for the Friday and Saturday nights. Apparently the Snowline Hotel is closed for renovations, however the Motel accomodation part is open and operating as normal. They can be contacted on (03) 5759 2524. The other main accomodation in town is the Harrietville Hotel Motel and they can be contacted on (03) 5759 2525.
I’m hoping we’ll have a support vehicle on the ride, so if anyone is interested in tagging along with the club trailer please get in touch (see me at a club meeting or ride, or drop me an email at presidentcddc@gmail.com).
Meet at the Ampol Hume (on the Monaro Highway) on Friday 8 for an 8.30am start.
