Celebrations to mark the centenary of the First Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix are happening in Goulburn, 21 – 23 June 2024, exactly 100 years after the first race.
The festivities features include:

- Friday 21st June, 6.00pm – 7.00pm – Friday Night Street Cruise – To kick-off this historic event, hundreds of bikes, of all makes and models, will cruise along the main drag of Auburn Street from 6pm. From 7pm all participants will gather in Montague Street for a static display, with live music from local band, Short Notice. Want to join the ride? Marshal in Cartwright Place from 5pm-5.45pm before the cruise starts at 6pm. This is a free cruise with no registration to the event required.

- Saturday 22nd June, 9.00am – 5.00pm & Sunday 23rd June, 9.00am – 3.00pm – All Motorcycle Expo Event – The Goulburn Recreation Area will hold the expo of sponsors, exhibits, motorcycles and feature events across both days of the weekend. Exhibitions and displays such as Australia wide Motorcycle Club collections and related displays, sales, and information, history exhibits, memorabilia from the 1924 Grand Prix, 100th Grand Prix merchandise sales, Platinum Sponsor High interest station promoting Indian Motorcycles Australia and New Zealand, all Sponsor Showcase, Police Motorcycle Display, Black Dog Ride exhibit, Motorcycle Council of NSW Exhibit plus so many more. The Motorcycle Parade from 10.30am & the Komatsu FMX Experience (Motorcross stunt exhibition) is at 12pm and 2pm, both on the Saturday only. There will be mobile food vendors on offer throughout the whole weekend. Public Entry is $5 and will be through Gate 5 & 6, with public parking and entry available through Gate 8.

- Saturday 22nd June, 6.00pm – 11.00pm – 100th Anniversary Dinner – The ticketed dinner event will be hosted at the Veolia Arena, and is only $95 Per Person, bookings essential. The centenary celebration hosts special guests consisting of racing dignitaries and family members of entrants in the 1924 race. With the promise of opportunity to meet and chat with our racing greats, an auction, entertainment and dancing. This evening will launch the next day’s re-run as hundreds of motorcycles, from early 1900 models to our most recent machines, tackle the original Grand Prix track. The very talented Antonio Morelli, chef for the evening, has planned a wonderful buffet menu, available on the website. Bookings close June 14th. Proudly sponsored by Goulburn Motorcycle Club.

- Sunday 23rd June, 11.00am – 2.00pm – 100th Anniversary Feature Rally – To celebrate the centenary of the original event, riders of motorcyles, of all makes and models will have the opportunity to participate in an escorted rally following the original 1924 route. With plenty of spots for spectators it is a once in a lifetime opportunity for all! Registration is only $45.00 per person to participate in the ride. This fee includes a limited edition commemorative medallion and the escorted, re-enactment ride along the original 80km course. The event is free for spectators with various vantage points along the route. Shuttle buses ($5 each way) will commence at 9am from Recreation Area taking spectators to these vantage points along the course and return to Recreation Area, running every 30mins. The original event, a sanctioned official Grand Prix by the Auto Cycle Union of NSW, and organised by the Goulburn Motorcycle Club, traversed a challenging 43.5-mile course starting from the outskirts of Goulburn to Windellama, Bungonia, and along Mountain Ash Road back to Goulburn. The original course remains intact and can still be ridden today. The Senior Grand Prix was won by Dave Brewster riding an Indian Chief, followed by T Benstead and R Preston on Harley-Davidsons.
