In the Beginning…
The Canberra District Ducati club began in November 1978, based off the back of a group of friends set on racing Ducati singles. The requirement for club racing at the time was to be affiliated with a riding club. The first meeting was advertised in the Canberra times.
Where we are now…
The Canberra District Ducati club organise, run and attend a range of rides throughout the year. Varying from short several hour events, overnight rides, and even week long adventures to Tasmania, and other spectacular destinations. The club provides a support vehicle where required and a good group of people to ride with. Club meetings are held on the second Monday of the month. Though disappointing to have moved away from the ItaloAustralian club after a long affiliation, the club meets at the Kingston Hotel with a dedicated meeting room with great facilities.
Where we are going…
Firstly – Hopefully on a nice ride. The Ducati club is always evolving, and there are many goals we would like to reach. The club currently uses a loan trailer for support, and over the next year fundraising will hopefully raise enough money to purchase a club trailer. From there, adding to the range of club tools is a priority as it is an invaluable asset. More over night rides are planned.
