13th / 15th March – The Peter Yeend Memorial Ride – Harrietville

Kind of that time of year again, except it isn’t.  Due to a conflict of dates with the NDR we’re running this ride a little earlier than normal – yeah I know, the CDDC doesn’t normally do ‘early’ – but this will be the exception.

As per usual this is a great three day ride over some of the best riding roads in Oz.  Obviously being over three days means its an overnighter – actually a 2 night overnighter.

We’ll leave Canberra on the Friday morning, getting into Harrietville in the afternoon.  Saturday is a ‘do what you like’ day, some do wineries, some do the VIC high country roads, some just take it easy.  Sunday is the ride home, with more mountains and probably a lunch stop at Wildbrumby – time permitting.

As per usual you’ll need to book your own accomodation for the Friday and Saturday nights.  It looks like the Snowline Hotel part is still closed for renovations, however the Motel part still looks to be operating as normal and you can book through their website www.snowlinemotel.com.au or at www.booking.com.  The other main accomodation is the Harrietville Hotel Motel and they can be contacted on (03) 5759 2525.

We will have a support vehicle for this ride.

Meet at the Ampol Hume (on the Monaro Highway) on Friday 8 for an 8.30 start.
